Season 1, Episode 1.   I’m curious why I’ve only been told about this once.  Obviously I should’ve taken a cue from Sheldon and Leonard, but I’m a physicist for pete’s sake. I’ve been in two higher education science programs in the past six years, and I don’t recall anyone other than english majors telling me how cool this shit is.

I’ve talked with an inordinate number of friends lately who think graduate school is about to destroy them. Programs should seriously hire people to look new students straight in the eyes and say “Without a doubt, there will be a time when you will not want to carry on, but you must keep going.”

arnndffr: Tonight a California man, he shot and killed his wife. They made this plan together to end their family’s strife. Since money had come hard, the future looked quite grim. Five children went to bed never to wake again. It’s so good!
